Chapter 12: This chapter begins with Tree-ear thinking about how to impress the royal emissary although a few mean robbers who wanted rice broke the vases that were for display. As Tree-ear reaches the royal emissary two guards try to stop him. They didn’t know who he was and what he wanted. Tree-ear convinces the guards by saying that Min wanted Tree-ear and master Kim to be the only ones that see the vases. Although Master Kim is disappointed when he finds out that the real vases are gone, he gets very happy when he sees the shard. So he decides to choose Min as his potter.



Chapter 13: In chapter 13 Tree-ear gets send back home with a boat. He describes the adventure as something wonderful. He sees his village from a total different perspective. Tree-ear finds out that Crane-man is dead. Min and Ajima think it is so sad that they tell him that he can live with them for now.

Seasickness is a form of motion sickness characterized by a feeling of nausea and, in extreme cases, vertigo, experienced after spending time on a craft on water.
