One thing I found was that shurikens come in all shapes and sizes. There are shurikens shaped like stars, shurikens shaped like long metal rods, etc, etc. They were used primarily as a secondary weapon after a spear or katana. Sometimes, they would be used in surprising ways, such as planting them in the ground to make the enemies harm their feet, or wrapping them with burning rope.
Investigation (By Alix):
I learned that ninjas and samurai were completely different types of people with different morals.
This first blog post lacks depth and is a little short. The discussion questions are a good start but for the next post try to focus on your group's feelings about the book.
